"MAGIC MOMENTS FOR AUTISTIC KIDS" was founded in February 2002,
and attained registered charity status on 3rd September 2002.

MM4AK's aim is to raise money to fund holidays, short breaks, day trips & recreational activities
for Autistic Kids , their families and carers in Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

Magic Moments is also there to offer support to all families and allow the siblings of
Autistic families to, for a short period have a taste of normal childhood.

In addition to providing "Magic Moments" for the children through holidays , fun days &
events, it also improves their self esteem within the group & helps inject some sunshine
into the very limited world of an Autistic Child.

Sainsburys gave the children £1000 for recreational activities through 2006.
The children were able to take part in the following activities on each holiday day.
Football in the community with Scunthorpe United.
Cricket at Messingham cricket club, where we had a member of the English cricket board come up to train the children , we had fabulous craft days at the office complex and bowling every week for all the kids.

We have been awarded £1000 from Yorkshire Forward to provide riding for disabled and other activiites for the kids, for 2007. Our grateful thanks go out to both Yorkshire Forward and Sainsbury's as Autistic kids do not cope with change and find the loss of the structured enviroment of school difficult to cope with.

Magic Moments have provided many english holidays, we have been to Hemsby Beach a fabulous holiday, Mablethorpe, we have also provided a dolphin experience and 2 trips to Euro Disney for the children.

Magic Moments provides 2 or 3 day trips each year the next one is to the deep in the christmas holidays. We have changed our bus company to Amvale from Grimsby.In 2007 we will be going once again to Lightwater valley.

All our members are invloved in a number of fundraising activities including, selling raffle tickets, setting up and running stalls at local events & shows, Its a Knockout, and sponsored events such as Fire Walks .

Magic Moments now holds all its meeting's at the new office complex at 106 Oswald Road, where all training and support takes place, also the children and parents will be having IT training in 2007 to help children who have no speech to communicate with their parents and others through a computer.

Magic Moments have trampolines that go out to members for a loan period of three months at least. There are rules to the loan of a trampoline. Also a form to sign, with reference to any damage.

In addition Magic Moments can provide members with Computers to enable children who cannot communicate the means to do so.
